Partnering with IKEA U.S.

We are proud to announce a new partnership with IKEA US! We’re incredibly excited to offer our Invoice to Pay solution to IKEA’s growing base of business customers starting today. We have seen firsthand the value Slope’s solution can bring to businesses large and small, and can’t wait to bring this solution to IKEA’s growing list of customers.
Our discussions with IKEA US began earlier this year, and it’s been a pleasure to work with the team on bringing our offering to life. IKEA US has been an incredible partner since inception, which culminated in us hitting the launch date we originally planned for back in March. This is far from always the case when launching new, major partnerships like this one.
When we first started talking to IKEA US it was clear that they recognized a gap in their existing payments solution stack. Their existing purchase order solution was largely manual, and not very scalable beyond a relatively small customer base. They were looking for a solution that could help customers with (i) cash flow management with attractive pricing, fast onboarding, a quick & efficient checkout experience and increased visibility of payments & invoicing for better financial monitoring and planning.
Cash flow management.
Starting today, IKEA’s customers will see Slope as a payment method at checkout on IKEA.com. By choosing Slope at check-out, customers can make purchases now, receive their order and have an extra 30 days to complete their payment with Slope at no additional cost. This in and of itself is a huge value driver for the hundreds of customers already using Slope today.

Efficient decision making around onboarding.
Slope has always invested in ensuring our credit- and risk models are best in class. This combined with an easy and intuitive onboarding flow prospective customers go through to get pre-qualified ensures we can make credit decisions on new customers in minutes, not days or weeks.
Streamlined checkout experience.
At Slope we strive to make our customers’ lives easier, not harder. Removing friction at checkout is a great way to do this. At the end of the Slope onboarding process, the customer receives a virtual card with a pre-approved limit. This limit is reflective of the total amount a customer is able to loan from Slope at any given time. Once payment to Slope has been made, the customer will be able to re-use the card.

Increased visibility.
Once onboarded, business customers get access to a buyer portal. Here, buyers can view their virtual card details, track all invoices & orders, update payment methods, view their credit limit with Slope and review upcoming payments, all in one place.

What we love about our solution is the multiple ways it adds value to businesses. This is what IKEA US was solving for, and is also why other global enterprises like J.P. Morgan have also partnered with Slope. We are thrilled to scale our partnership with IKEA US and allow their customers to focus on what matters — growing their business!
